Love and gratitude… BCAF began with an amazing offer from two people Billy initially knew as music fans, who soon became friends of his.

Their unconditional gift and the loving challenge of matching donations snowballed into friends, family, and more music fans giving from their hearts, to honor Billy’s legacy of generous, creative support. As many have shared from their own personal relationships with Billy, he had a way of making people feel better about themselves, especially in their music and art. He loved to encourage people to step further than their comfort zone to “turn the wheel”, as he put it. With many artists lined up to offer time, talent, and experience-based insight, BCAF exists to push Billy’s legacy forward by supporting emerging Indigenous artists in Montana, a place Billy loved to live.
